Simply squeeze the back plate quickly to compress the strong music wire springs and the trap automatically sets. The best dog proof trap on the market. I have used several brands. No setter needed. I use my boot on the anchor point and the other boot to set. I attach wolf fang anchors. Easy and quick.

I have used other brands and have had animals get away. I have used the Freedom Brand for a couple of years and found the retention to be superior to other brands. I have yet to lose one in these traps. I will be buying more and recommending these to others. I use a 2-foot piece of rebar with a nut welded to it and a 1/16 in. wire braid for lanyard... And yes... ANCHOR WELL!
