These tapes are great. Over my 30+ years as an archeologist, I have had only several of these tapes. They hold up, ends don't rip off, they don't stretch too much. What I have had fail after many years of use is the plastic case breaks or the "rolling up" handle breaks. I like that they have metrics on both side so you don't get messed up using the english side. I here to buy the last 2 of my career.

We have found these tapes to be easy to read, easy to role, and fairly sturdy. Eventually, the clasp at the end of the tape rips off, but this seems to be standard across brands.

We've bought several of the 100m tapes and they don't hold up in actual field use. I won't buy any more if I can find another brand in 100m.
