This is a good paint for marking a few trees, but it is not for those looking to mark acres and acres of trees. Both the tree marking paint and boundary marking paint have good color, but are slow to mix, so it requires a lot of shaking. The boundary paint is by far the better quality of the two. It is thicker, has more pigment, appears to stick better, and requires less paint for thorough application.
After using two cases of fluorescent blue tree marking paint and two cases of blue boundary marking paint, the tree marking paint averaged 12 to 14 trees per can. With the boundary paint, I was getting around 14 to 17 trees per can. I understand these numbers are entirely subjective, so for comparison I usually get around 24 to 28 trees per can with Nelson aero spot paint (this is not an advertisement for Nelson, just a comparison).

Do not buy this paint if you work in northern climates! There is WATER in the paint! I was very disappointed when I went to go mark trees on a winter morning and found that the paint had frozen. This should not happen.
Rachel,
I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the tree marking paint. Aerosol cans do not work well in cold temperatures and that is why paint has an operating range of 50°F to 90°F. You may want to consider using some of the non-aerosol paints in the future.

Paint went on evenly and well even on semi-damp bark as advertised. Colors highly visible.
