A couple years ago before anyone in the states here knew about Prandi Axes and Hatchets....a friend of mine in Austria told me about them....they are the best Forged steel you can get and hold an edge like no other....I have this exact Axe and use it daily ....it's very similar to the Hudson's Bay design that I like and is perfect to carry on your belt to drive wedges or what ever you need. I broke the original handle when A ponderosa pine barber chaired and landed on it so I put an American Hickory 26" handle in it and it's absolutely perfect now for what I do.
