Valuable tool for controlled burns. Well-built tool that can take punishment, whether grubbing out fire lines, scrapping bark off smoldering trees, chopping small saplings. Super versatile.

We use the rakes when doing trail work to clear before digging and for removing the duff.

This is the first time I have ever bought, seen or used this type of tool. For the most part, it works wonders. I have a very steep torrain leading down to the river and wooded. What I have a challenge with is making the path/trail wide enough. It seems like I do a lot of chopping on one side or the other and little scrapping. The trail is going pretty good considering I had prices to place stone/wood steps and landing in excess of $40K. The tool is well worth it's money in my opinion.

I use this tool almost exclusively for trail maintenance and new trail construction on the Appalachian Trail. It is really tough and taken abuse for 4 years of uses that it was not designed to be used for like chopping through a 4 inch root, prying boulders out of the ground, cutting sticker bushes that are 1.5 inches in diameter at the base, pulling vines out of trees, chopping tree limbs up to 2 inches in diameter on the downward stroke at the limb/stem junction and much more. I finally broke two teeth by hitting rocks hidden just under the surface. Even though the metal is tempered, the teeth can be sharpened by hand to some degree. It’s a great tool for landscaping and other garden uses as well. Highly recommended and worth the price.
