My wife and I both have a pair of Felco pruners. She has the model with the rotating handles. They are easy on your hand tendons when you are doing a lot of pruning. I have the number 2s. The leverage and adjustable opening
Make them a powerful pruner that I can use for an extended period of time. I clip up all of my apple tree pruning s and the Felcos are great for that. Now the disclosure. We’ve both had our pruners for over 50 years. I’m 77 and she’s 74. What other garden tool do you have that’s 50 years old? Felco cable cutters are great too.

As a home owner, one of these may last a lifetime. Professionally, won't need many more. They are awesome pruners that make a clean cut and last, last, last. Can sharpen them, replacement blades available. What more could you ask for?

Felco pruners (and hand saws) are worth the investment. I do primarily invasive plant management for parks and use my Felco 2 pair practically everyday. 5 years and still going strong (with the proper maintenance of course).
