Purchased 4 boxes of this paper to use with high school students to do water quality monitoring in fresh and brackish water. The pH paper gave consistently inaccurate readings when used with river and bay samples. We tested the paper with pH standards and it worked fine. We used the pH paper, YSI data sondes and La Motte Water Test with our water samples, the data sonde and the La Motte kit gave accurate readings but the pH was way off. When we contacted the maker of the paper Hydrion Micro Essentials they told us this paper was not made to "test surface water".
