Is the weight a flat disk attached to the bottom or is it a ball weight that hangs below the disk? Is the weight a flat disk attached to the bottom or is it a ball weight that hangs below the disk?
This Secchi Disc has a 24 oz zinc, rounded sounding weight that is attached to bottom of the disc. It is not a ball that hangs below. The weight is attached to the bottom of the disc via the eye bolt that the lowering rope is tied to.
