Octet comparator method uses the DPD tablet method based on the DPD indicator. Two tablet reagents distinguish free and combined chlorine covering the comparator range of 0.2 to 3.0 ppm (values 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, and 3.0 ppm). Makes 50 tests each for free and total chlorine. One to three minutes per test. EPA accepted for NPDWR compliance monitoring.
