Alaskan Mark IV Chain Saw Mill for 30” Chain Saws
For saws with ≥60cc displacement and bars 30” or less
These saw mill attachments mount easily to your chainsaw bar for fast, easy lumber production. (The chainsaw’s bar must be at least 2-1/4˝ wide.) Use the compact, lightweight Alaskan Small Log Mill with chainsaws 20˝ or smaller. Three sizes of the Alaskan Mark IV Saw Mills are available for 24˝, 30˝, and 36˝ chainsaws. Requires 3/8 Pitch Ripping Chain (sold separately).

I have a Stihl MS880 (10 HP saw) with a 59" bar and with a ripping chain it works quite nicely even cutting 4' diameter hard maple logs!
CAREFUL not to overtorque the bolts on the alaskan saw mill!!!!

What size (motor) do I need for the 30” mill.
The manufacturer recommends a 60cc or greater saw for use with the 30” mill.
How big a diameter log will each of the bar length options handle?
Subtract 4" from the bar length to get the maximum log diameter.
Can I use a 50cc saw?
A 50 cc saw will work fine for the 20” and 24” mill. I would not recommend using a 50cc saw on mills larger than the 24”.
Will a 20" bar work with the 24" mill? Is it adjustable?
Yes a 20" bar will work with the 24" mill. The mills can all handle smaller bars, but they cannot handle larger bars.
I have a 25 inch bar currently attached to my saw.. would this product fit or does it have to be either a 24 or 30 inch bar?
A 25" bar will require the 30" mill.

This hand winch allows for easier milling and smoother cutting with the Alaskan Saw Mill. The unique lever arm anchor system allows you to cut to the end of the log. Attaches to the cross rails of the saw mill. A friction screw prevents the winch from unspooling when not in use. Includes winch, 38 feet of rope, and lever arm anchor system.
