Carson zPix 300 Model MM-940 Digital Microscope
Economical and versatile, this digital microscope displays magnified images directly on your computer screen! The 86x-457x power zoom magnification lets you see close-up details, and the built-in 2 megapixel digital camera captures both images and video. Use the base attachment to view prepared slides, or remove the base and place the microscope on any surface to examine fine details. Simply download the free Digital Viewer software, plug the zPix into your computer’s USB port, and begin viewing. Compatible with with Mac OSX 10.4 or later and Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1. A USB 2.0 port is required. Does not work with tablets. Includes specimen base, three blank slides, one prepared specimen slide, forceps, eyedropper, and USB cable.

What is the difference between the Carson zpix 300 Model MM940 and the Model 740?
The MM940 is an updated version of the MM740. The MM940 has a 2 megapixel camera and zoom range of 86x-457x. The MM740 has a 1.3 megapixel camera and a zoom range of 36x-176x. They are both compatible with Windows 10/8/8.1/7Vista/XP SP2+ and Mac OS X 10.11x- 10.4.9.
