Nasco 8´ to 24´ Extendible Swing Sampler
The end of this sampler swings for collecting samples at different angles with a maximum of 90°, making it perfect for sampling streams from steep stream banks. The fiberglass pole extends to 12 feet or 24 feet (depending on model) for flexibility in various situations. A 960 ml bottle is included. The included large snapper band holds bottles up to 1,000 ml. The Swing Sampler may be used for liquids, powders, or small solids.

It works okay but could be designed better. The clip that holds the bottles isn't secured to the arm, so if you are taking multiple samples and changing out bottles frequently, it's a pain to slide everything together properly. I eventually lost the clip along with a sample bottle while trying to grab a stormwater sample in a swift current. I've since replaced the clip with a nite ize gear tie, which works marginally better since it grips bottles nicely and can be adjusted quickly. Lastly, the lock on the extension pole no longer works. Overall, I'd expect more for the price.

Can this product be used with smaller bottles?
The ring is adjustable to allow for smaller bottles.
Is 12 feet the max length or min length? How short is it when fully contracted or does it contract?
The pole will collapse to 6 ft and extend to a maximum of 12 ft.
