As a working botanist, this thing is excellent for pressing all my teeny tiny things. I took it once on a backpacking trip and it fit well in my pack (can also be fastened to the outside with ease). My only criticism is that the straps are a little difficult to tighten; with some elbow grease, it’s doable. Definitely recommend it for people starting out pressing plants and as mentioned was great for backpacking and botanizing.

Do the plant presses include the straps, or must they be purchased separately?
They Student Plant Presses DO have pressing straps included. Replacement straps are sold as well.
