These are wonderful for collecting field notes. Stiff enough for hand-held writing. Pencil and pen marks are clear. I do wish they were less pricey; however; finding old notes made illegible by water damage is way more expensive.

We use these notebooks in the field and they last through rain; hail; blistering sun; humidity; mud and everything else we can throw at them. Never known to let us down and once theyre filled with data and its transferred to digital; we store the notebooks. We have them for years in storage and theyre still readable.

I have used these for about 20 years in resource management field work. A great notebook, but it would be better if the pages were numbered. The front page has a printed table of contents with columns for "Page", "Reference", and "Date". However, the page aren't labeled with page numbers. Lucky for me I know how to write numbers all the way up to 62!

I am an engineer/diver and have been for 40+ years. This product not only is great in inclement weather, but also actually works underwater (eith soft pencil).
