Does the SECO Aluminum Range Pole (Item 43088) have a fixed steel tip or interchangeable tip? By interchangeable I mean the whole tip can be threaded out and replaced with a flat bottom tip instead of pointed tip. I see the actual tip is replaceable, but the larger foot assembly is fixed to the pole. Does the SECO Aluminum Range Pole (Item 43088) have a fixed steel tip or interchangeable tip? For the SECO Aluminum Range Pole, item 43088, the steel point tip itself is threaded and replaceable, but the larger foot or shoe assembly is fixed to the pole. The pointed steel tip screws in and out of the bottom of the foot assembly and can be replaced if it becomes worn. However, the entire foot assembly is not designed to be removed from the pole or swapped out for a different base style, such as a flat bottom shoe. So, you are correct in your understanding. The tip is replaceable, but the larger foot assembly remains permanently attached to the pole.
