Sokkia Collet Lock One-Section Prism Pole, 8.5 ft.

Extends to 8.5´ (2.6m), Collapses to 4.6´ (1.4m)

This compression lock prism pole offers a secure, reliable locking system. Bottom section is painted in alternating sections of red and white. Polished aluminum pole with brass lock. Adjustable tip. Tenths and Metric graduations. 5/8˝ x 11 adapter for prism mounting. Carrying case included.

I'm currently using a 8.5' rod and would like the option of the 12 footer. I'm curious as to how this collapses to under 5'? I'm currently using a 8.5' rod and would like the option of the 12 footer. I'm curious as to how this collapses to under 5'?
The 12 ft pole has three sections instead of two like the pole pictured. Each section nest into each other. The pictured pole is the the 8 ft model.
