Designed for protection and comfort, the lightweight and dielectric AOSafety XLR8 Hardhat with 6-point ratchet suspension features an exclusive patented front visor sealing to prevent debris from falling between the mesh and hardhat. The V1A metal mesh visor and hearing protectors can be raised up and down. The hardhat complies with ANSI Z89.1-2009, Type 1, Class C, G and E standards. Hearing protectors meet ANSI S3.19-1974 standards. 21dB NRR (Noise Reduction Rating).

I used one of these for several years with regular use just knocking around in the truck, logging, PCT, etc. I liked that the muffs and screen stayed up better than another brand I've tried so that I could use it comfortably as a regular ol' hardhat. Muffs weren't super insulating so I usually had plugs as well. Screen attachment broke eventually. Good value, anyways.

I bought this to replace an older Peltor hardhat system (helmet, ear muffs, flip-down facemask) which had Stihl stamped on the hardhat. This appeared to be similar in appearance to competitors, but at a reasonable price. The earmuffs don't 'lock' into place as I was expecting, the helmet ratcheting system is a bit stiff, and the advertised metal mesh visor screen looks and feels like plastic. I'm not sure if I can return this since I've worn it gently. Maybe more use will help "break-in" the features, but I'm not impressed out of the box.
