Providing both comprehensive coverage and freedom of movement, this hood features a tapered back, notched shoulder drape, and patterned bib to perfectly integrate with a turnout coat collar and SCBA head harness while maintaining a proper seal with the mask. The hood combines two layers of flame-resistant BarriAire Carbon Shield fabric and a middle layer of ultra-lightweight DuPont™ Nomex® Nano Flex fabric that provides particulate protection without sacrificing breathability or comfort. BarriAire Carbon Shield fabric will not melt, offers superior odor control, is inherently static resistant, and provides excellent UV resistance. UL Classified to NFPA 1970:2025 Standard, Current Edition.
