I have been using this type of notebook to support fieldwork for nearly 20 years. The more time that passes, the more opportunities I\'ve had to appreciate having a hardcopy that didn\'t fail when the batteries died or mobile signals got lost. My college students now learn to support their fieldwork with this field notebook. It holds up to both the weather and their youthful exuberance.

the 4/25 x 6.75 size fits just right for my leg pockets in field pants. I generally get 3 field seasons of use of of one. I've never had the bindings give out before I've filled it up.
