An accurate mechanical sieve kit designed to provide reliable grain size analysis! 20 stainless steel screens including one each of the following U.S. Sieve Sizes: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 60, 100, 120, 140, 200, 230 and 270. Samples are placed into five, clear 2˝ acrylic cylinders and volumetric percentages are indicated on the shaker frame. Range: 0 to 100% in 5% increments.

I purchased this sieve because it seemed like a perfect fit for the task at hand. It is exactly that. Neither too large; nor too small for sorting modest volumes of homemade glass frit. The price is also reasonable and the results make it feel like a bargain. The only criticism Id have for it is that the measurement markings are hard to read as they are small and molded in the same black plastic as the frame surface. Easily fixed with some dry brushed paint in a high contrast color.
