I have used these for years. They are very effective for distributing seed, fertilizer, lime, etc. I use it for my lawn and foodplots. It must be cleaned after fertilizer application or it will rust. I highly recommend this spreader.

Earthway Model 3100
The shoulder harness is great but attaching to the seeder is difficult, and the straps are too short. Lengthened them by adding a clip on each side which also make the attachment easier.
The way the seeds or fertilizer have to sling out results in them covering the cranking arm, legs, and feet.
